The German Association for Gas and Water has published the new worksheet DVGW W 249 "Removal of Arsenic, Nickel and Uranium in Water Treatment".
The worksheet was prepared by the project group "Removal of Inorganic Substances" in the Technical Committee "Water Treatment Processes".
It describes the measures to reduce the concentrations of arsenic, nickel and uranium in drinking water treatment. Essential rules for the targeted removal of arsenic by means of fixed-bed adsorption on iron (III) hydroxide oxide according to DIN EN 15029 are also described. The worksheet thus also serves as the basis for the design and operation of GEH systems.
