GEH Wasserchemie exhibits on the IFAT Eurasia 2019

IFAT Eurasia 2019 Banner

For over 50 years, IFAT has been the most important meeting place for the sectors of water management, wastewater technology, drinking water, waste and raw materials management. For several years, the offshoot IFAT Eurasia takes place in Istanbul on a biennial rhythm. Not only Turkey as the host country makes the exhibition exciting, but also its situation between Europe and Asia.

We would like to take the opportunity to present our new corporate design to our Turkish and Asian customers and partners in particular. At the end of 2018, we reorganized our product range and now offer an even better overview of application areas. Depending if your sector is drinking water, waste water or mineral water, now it is easier than ever to find the right product.

Things are getting exciting because of old and new topics: arsenic removal is still a highly topical issue in which we take a leading position worldwide with our product GEH®. New to the agenda is the removal of vanadium from drinking and wastewater. It is suggested that in the next few years a limit for vanadium in drinking water will be introduced in Germany. Experience shows that this is followed by expansion at European level and introduction of limit values in countries worldwide. In several pilot experiments it could be proven that vanadium adsorbs very well on granulated iron hydroxide and GEH® is therefore perfectly suited for vanadium removal, especially in the drinking water sector.

Another current topic is the removal of phosphate from surface waters such as ponds and lakes, or from tributaries. Even small concentrations in the microgram range can be a problem due to algae growth, which can lead to eutrophication of the water body. In several projects of this kind, GEH® was successfully introduced and is currently used for phosphate removal.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Istanbul at our stand D7 in hall 9 and to discuss these and other topics.
